Apartment Shots

A co-worker of mine came by Sunday to snap some shots of the apartment that I can use for my portfolio and to submit to some blog sites. We're going to have "round 2" in a few weeks since the lighting wasn't great in several of the shots, but here's at least a preview of some of what we're working on:

Futon Complete!

I finished the futon last night! Can you believe it only took me only 3 evenings?! The zippers aren't perfect, but they're in the back so that doesn't matter. ;) My poor sewing machine is probably burnt out from all of it's use this week! I can definitely tell that I'm getting better though.

Playing Catch-Up

I thought I'd group everything together here since it's been a few weeks!

Eric's Birthday
Eric turned the big 2-3 on the 27th. It was a semi-uneventful day being a work day, but his office and I managed to surprise him with a little birthday cake that morning, and then we went out to Shakespeare's Pizza for dinner. Thank you to everyone who sent cards and gifts (he's still trying to catch up on thank-you's since work is consuming his life these days!)

One Year Anniversary

We went home last weekend and picked up our wedding cake topper. Unfortunately, it looked pretty sad and tasted just as bad, too! I only managed to swallow 2 bites!

Trip to Fayetteville

We made another super quick trip to Fayetteville last weekend to see my sister one last time before she leaves for college on the 17th. We took her and her boyfriend Ted out to Fast Lane for go-karts and bowling.

Eric and Kim also gave blood after church (Eric's first time!). Way to go!
