Little Lily has had quite the day today...from doggie surgery (getting fixed), getting in the car with a new person, and checking out her brand new home. She has been very polite and calm all in the house, and she's a little unsure of her new crate and bed. We just can't seem to get her to lay down in/on them yet! She's been such a lovebug - stretching out on the floor and loving the attention and belly rubs! We couldn't have asked for a better dog!
Hanging out during the dishes - she loves to follow us around and lay next to us.
Out for her first walk around the neighborhood! She got a little energetic towards the end when she saw little kids up ahead.
Playing in the yard - she hasn't grabbed on to her chew toys yet, and we'll have to teach her how to fetch!
And she loves to just lay down as we sit on the porch.
Here's a little video of her first walk tonight:

Meet Lily!
We've added a new addition to our little family this weekend...and we're bringing her home on Monday! Lily is a 1 year old border collie/lab mix that we just adopted at one of the local shelters, and she is just precious.
We've been out shopping all day getting stuff ready for her to come home!
And here are some better photos from the website...
More to come on little Miss Lily soon!

We're back!
Apparently 2011 is my year of slacking on blogging (or the year that we got SUPER busy!). I'm really, really going to try and pick it back up, I promise! I've been meaning to redesign and revive it for months now...(as you can see, the header still has yet to be finished, and I still have more to add to the sidebar). But, since SO MUCH has happened in the past few months (hello, HOUSE!), I figured I'd try and get back into the swing of things to update family. No promises, but I'll try to at least blog a couple of times a week!
So, to give you the Cliffs Notes version of the past few months...
We bought a house...
Eric graduated with his MHA...
Eric started his new job and started getting up at 5 AM...
And our lives have become completely consumed by full-time jobs, sometimes pushing 12 hour days (for Eric)...
We've been in our house a little over a month now and it's taken me that long to get things unpacked, cleaned, sorted out (I've been taking trunkloads to Goodwill like there's no tomorrow), and organized, and let me tell you, nights sure go by quick when you try to do that! I'm almost to the point of getting into a normal routine after work. And it's to the point now where I feel like I can finally start decorating since things are put away. Here are a few early photos...
Things have come a little ways since then, but we still have a long way to go to get things all prettied up! Hopefully we can make some progress between all the weekends we are on the road this summer. More to come soon!
